Consider practical ways to support communication, relationships and social understanding without teaching students to hide their natural communication style.
4. Planning for Excursions and Incursions

Understand dynamic disability and learn developmentally appropriate ways to include students in identifying the supports and accommodations that work for them.
6. Staying Curious About Unusual Behaviours

Practical Training for Real Educational Settings
The strategies explored throughout this bundle are designed for real classrooms, where educators are working with diverse needs, limited time and plenty of competing demands.
The focus is not on finding one strategy that works for every student. It is on developing a clearer framework for understanding individual students and making thoughtful, realistic adjustments to the environment, communication and learning experience.
The training can help educators move from asking, “How do we make this student comply?” to asking, “What is making participation difficult, and what support might help?”
That shift can improve safety, trust, engagement and learning for students while giving educators a more useful basis for planning and decision-making.
